What are opportunities of an Auxiliary Volunteer?
The Auxiliary consists of members of the community that volunteer their time to promote and advance the welfare of the patients, using their time and talents to assist in various areas of the hospital. These areas include but are not limited to front desk reception, physical therapy, and administration with assignments made on an individual basis. Our Auxiliary is flexible so that each volunteer’s area of interest may be considered.
What is required to become an Auxiliary Member?
There are no minimum hours required, but members are asked to volunteer at least one day a week for four hours. Men and women, age 18 or older are invited to become an Auxilian.
Can teens volunteer?
Yes, if you are ages 14-18 you may be interested in our Student Volunteer Program. Click this link for more information about the Student Volunteer Program.
What’s the next step?
Submit your completed volunteer application to info@doctorsmemorial.org or return to Doctors Memorial Hospital at 2600 Hospital Dr. Administration will then conduct an interview to determine your interests, skills and availability. An orientation and tour of the hospital is also required.
