About

Robert P. Huang, MD, FAAOS, received his Medical Degree from the State University of New York Stony Brook School of Medicine, where he graduated with Distinction in Research. He completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at the Stony Brook University Medical Center’s Department of Orthopedics.

Dr. Huang then went on to complete his pediatric orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Huang specializes in pediatric orthopedics and spine surgery. Huang’s areas of focus also include scoliosis, cerebral palsy, and clinical research. Dr. Huang is also a clinical associate professor of medicine at Florida State University College of Medicine, as well as a courtesy clinical associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Florida School of Medicine.

Dr. Huang is fellowship trained, and board certified in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Huang is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and an active member of the Scoliosis Research Society, the North American Spine Society (NASS) and Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (SMISS).

Dr. Huang has been practicing since 1995 and has been serving patients in the Pensacola area for nearly a decade. While he was born in Taiwan, Dr. Huang now calls Pensacola home. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Karen and their children Gabriel and Emi. When not caring for his patients, Dr. Huang can often be found enjoying skiing, golf, Shogi, Igo and backgammon.
